BELOW ARE THE THINGS I USE
Below are the things I use (or have used) in my journey to restore my health and vitality. You may find them helpful in your health journey.

- NAC SUPPLEMENT
This supplement is what my naturopath recommended to me when I had chronic sinus infections. NAC is an amino acid that helps thin the mucus. When the mucus is thin, viruses and other microbes have less of a chance of “sticking.” (I take it every winter during cold and flu season.)
- NASAL IRRIGATION
Nasal irrigation allows you to clear out your nose and sinus cavities. There are different ways to do nasal irrigation. I opted for the traditional neti pot. It was a game changer for me when I had chronic sinus infections and could not keep my nose clear.
Nowadays I take the neti pot out when I feel the first tickle of a cold or if I was around someone with a virus. You need distilled water and neti pot salt. And here’s what my naturopath instructed me to do to make the irrigation even more effective: Use equal parts neti pot salt and XYLITOL (see picture below).
2020 UPDATE: I am actively using my neti pot with the salt and xylitol during the coronavirus pandemic…flush away the virus!
- FOOD SENSITIVITY JOURNAL
As you work to identify problem foods for you, a food sensitivity journal is invaluable. It helps you figure out what to look for and notice patterns you might not notice otherwise. If you’re serious about clearing your stuffy nose for good, a food sensitivity journal is worth its weight in gold!

- NASAL STRIPS

For now, try these strips out so you can healthy sleep. These can be a game-changer while you do the work to get back to consistent, easy breathing through your nose.
- AIR PURIFIER
So many of us have sensitivity to dust and other environmental irritants. We’re so bombarded, we don’t even realized how congested we are until we get a break from it. So it’s important to keep the air you’re breathing as clean as possible. Here is an excellent air purifier to help you breathe clean air in your office or bedroom.
- VITAMIN D
The most important thing is to make sure you have enough Vitamin D for your body to function properly. For so many of us, our Vitamin D levels are too low. We do not get enough sunlight on our skin, and so our bodies cannot make enough Vitamin D naturally. (Yep, we make Vitamin D if the sun touches our bare skin–but only UVB rays! So plan your sun exposure carefully because UVA rays provide no good…only harm. Click here for help.)
When we optimize our Vitamin D levels, we get better sleep. Click the picture below for the Vitamin D supplement my naturopath recommended for me. It has the right ratios of Vitamin D and Vitamin K. IMPORTANT: Vitamin D can be toxic. Monitor your Vitamin D levels carefully!
