CAN YOU STOP THE CORONAVIRUS BEFORE IT MAKES YOU SICK?
There’s no question about the spread of the coronavirus. This is the question: Do you know how to stop it before it makes you sick?
People are having a wide range of reactions to the coronavirus once it enters their bodies. Some people get sick–and even die–when they encounter the coronavirus–but other people don’t even know they have it.
A recent case study in China appears to confirm the first documented case of asymptomatic transmission. A young woman from Wuhan, China visited five family members. All five contracted the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, but the young woman showed no symptoms despite testing positive for the virus.
Why did she have no symptoms? The answer is this: It depends on the person’s immune system. The stronger your immune system is, the better you can stop the virus before it makes you sick.
HOW CAN YOU STOP THE CORONAVIRUS BEFORE IT MAKES YOU SICK?
Job #1 is to make your immune system as strong as possible. Do this by making your body function at its best. How? Target THE CORE FOUR.
1) AIR: Make sure you have healthy breathing habits. Where do you start? USE NOSE BREATHING ONLY! Aim to breathe through your nose only and lips touching unless you are eating, drinking or talking. 4) FOOD: THINK WHAT YOU EAT: Eat nutritious food and take a break from any foods that are problematic for you. Keep in mind that just because a food is healthy does not mean it’s healthy for you. Even something like broccoli can be a problem for certain people! Signs of a problem include things like gas, heartburn, GI distress, post-nasal drip, etc. If you’re not sure, keep a food diary. THINK WHEN YOU EAT: Strive to go to bed on an empty stomach so your body doesn’t have to use sleep time for digestion. Your body (and brain!) need the sleep time for repairing and recharging.
THE BOTTOM LINE?
